Scoop the Coop is Coming
Scoop the Coop: K-9 Cleanup Unit’s New Chicken Coop Cleaning Service Coming to Lexington County, SC
Got backyard chickens but not the time (or the taste) for coop cleanup? We hear you. Introducing Scoop the Coop — a brand-new service we’re developing right here in Lexington County to take the dirty work out of keeping your feathered friends happy and healthy. You get the fun of fresh eggs and clucking companionship; we get the mess — and we love a good mess.
What Scoop the Coop Will Do for You
Regular coop cleaning: weekly, bi-weekly, or on-demand visits to remove droppings, soiled bedding, and debris.
Deep clean & deodorize: periodic thorough cleanings that include removal of old bedding, scrubbing roosts and nesting boxes, and deodorizing to reduce odors and pests.
Bedding replacement: fresh bedding installed every service or as needed — straw, pine shavings, or whatever you prefer for your flock.
Nest box care: scooped and refreshed nesting boxes so eggs stay clean and safe.
Waste removal & disposal: we bag and remove waste and old bedding, leaving your yard neat and tidy.
Coop health check: a quick visual inspection for obvious issues—broken latches, wet spots, signs of mites or predators—and a heads-up if we see anything concerning.
Why Scoop the Coop?
Less chore, more cluck: Enjoy collecting eggs and watching your chickens without spending weekends scooping poop and scrubbing floors.
Healthier flock: Clean coops reduce ammonia buildup, parasites, and disease risk—so your hens are happier and more productive.
Time back for you: Spend your free hours relaxing, gardening, or sharing fresh eggs with friends—not cleaning a coop.
Local and reliable: We know Lexington County weather, pests, and backyard setups. Our team will show up on schedule and treat your chickens with respect and calm handling.
Service Options & Customization
Recurring plans: weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly routines tailored to flock size and coop setup.
One-time deep clean: perfect for seasonal refreshes, move-ins/outs, or before/after showing your coop.
Add-ons: compostable bedding pickup, minor repairs referral, or coordinating with your existing compost system.
Pet-family friendly: if you already use our dog poop removal service, we’ll coordinate visits for both dogs and chickens on the same day for extra convenience.
Safety & Care First Our team is trained in safe poultry handling and biosecurity basics. We use poultry-safe cleaning products and procedures to protect your chickens and eggs. We won’t disturb eggs unnecessarily, and we’ll respect your flock’s routine to minimize stress.
Who Benefits from Scoop the Coop?
New chicken owners who want a hand getting started.
Busy families and professionals who love fresh eggs but dislike the chores.
